When a Moderan user account is created, you receive a link via email and set up your password. Of course, it can happen that you forget the password you have set or you want to change it for other reasons - let's see how to do that in Moderan.

I forgot my password, what to do?
Go to Moderan login page page → Click 'Forgot Password' on the login box:
Enter the email you used for Moderan account, and click 'Recover':
Check your email for a recovery link from us.
Note: For security reasons, the password reset link expires after 24 hours. In case the link has expired before you used it, start from step 1 by clicking 'Forgot passwort'.
After you have clicked on the password recovery link, a new page will open in your browser. There you will be asked to enter a new password. Write the new password in the corresponding field and click on 'Save'.
Now log in with the new password and continue using Moderan.
Note: Your password must be at least 8 characters long and must contain at least one upper case letter, one lower case letter and one digit.
If the email is not there:
- you may have typed an incorrect email address
- check your Junk mail folder for it
If you really cannot find the email:
- Try once again beginning with step 1
- In case you still do not get the email, please contact Moderan support
I want to change my password
Option 1
You can use the 'Forgot password' steps described above, when logged out.
Option 2
You can change password also being logged in Moderan:
Go to Moderan login page → Click on Settings icon in the top right corner
Click on 'Change password'.
Type the old and the new passwords in the window.
Note: Your password must be at least 8 characters long and must contain at least one upper case letter, one lower case letter and one digit.

If you have entered an incorrect password 10 times, your old password will be blocked for security reasons. You will receive the following notification:
In that case, please follow the steps described above to reset your password.
